Jerseys fastest for 2008

Plainfield, N.J. 2008 running back Reggie Dixon has already caught the eye of recruiters. The 5-foot-7, 158-pounder holds three offers from the ACC and Big East while plenty of other schools are showing interest.
"I've got offers right now from Temple, Rutgers and Boston College," he said. "On September 1st they all came in and offered me. I've been to Rutgers a couple times this year for games against UConn and Louisville. The Louisville game was really exciting. The crowd got into that game and helped Rutgers out and now they are on the map.

"As for Boston College, I'd like to learn more about them. I've watched their games and they are performing pretty well and consistently pound the ball. I like that style of play."
While the Scarlet Knights, Eagles and Owls have already thrown their hat in the ring, plenty of other schools are keeping an eye on the junior tailback.
"Schools like Miami, Florida State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and plenty more are sending me mail," he said. "Personally I don't have any favorites and don't know too much about college football. I never really grew up a fan of anybody."
With so many schools showing interest, what does Dixon want out of a college?
"The first thing I'm looking for is an education. I'm trying to get my degree in communications," he said. "I'm also trying to get as much playing time as possible. I'd like to start early and not sit. I've thought a lot about location and I don't know what I want to do there. Some people say I should stay local and I like that idea because we can try to keep the great talent in New Jersey and lay a foundation for the future, especially now that Rutgers is good."
On the season, the Garden State running back posted over 1,200 yards rushing and eight touchdowns.
