Jersey WR Jones changes his pick

Syracuse pulled a commitment from wide receiver Leavander Jones back in the summer. With Greg Robinson's departure, the 5-foot-10, 161-pounder decommitted. Today, he made his choice elsewhere.
"Syracuse was talking to me about greyshirting and there were rumors that I lost my scholarship," he said. "I wound up decommitted and committed to James Madison today.

"I took a visit there and had a good time over the weekend with my mom and sister. My family liked it. They have a pretty good academic school and it's a good place to spend time at.
"I just felt wanted. They welcomed me like I was one of them already. I really like the coaches including Coach Matthews. He's a cool, down-to-earth guy."
The two-star prospect has the chance to potentially play early at JMU.
"Maybe, they were telling me they weren't sure on some positions," he said. "I may be able to play. If I redshirt it doesn't sound so bad. It could help me since I'm small."
Jones held offers from Syracuse, Buffalo, Akron, JMU, Maine, Hofstra and Wagner.
