Jersey WR commits to Big 10

Collingswood, N.J. wideout Brandon Whittington is making a name for himself in the Garden State. He's also committed to a Big 10 school that loves to throw the football.
"It came down to academics and a school that likes to throw the ball a lot," said the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder who committed to Purdue this weekend. "It came down to Wisconsin, Minnesota and Purdue, but I felt more comfortable with coach (Joe) Tiller and the players there."

So far this season, Whittington has caught four passes for 99 yards and three touchdowns. Last season he had 26 catches for 455 yards and five scores.
"I get double-teamed a lot now," he said. "But hopefully I'll get more looks down the line. I'm happy to be committed to Purdue and look forward to catching a lot of passes there."
