Jersey WR close to offers

One of the top athletes in the Garden State had something to prove heading into the May Evaluation period and, at the Elite College Combine earlier this month, Rich Gunnell of Lawrenceville (N.J.) Notre Dame did just that.
With a very impressive 4.45-second 40-yard dash, the 6-foot-0, 185-pound wide receiver really put on a show.

"I thought I did pretty good testing that night and since then, Maryland, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Boston College and Virginia have been in the school. I was told that Rutgers has an offer on the way and I'm told that Boston College and Indiana are close to offering as well.”
Not only does Gunnell posses excellent speed, but he is graceful and very impressive looking. He ran his patterns well and also has the ability to play in the defensive backfield at the next level.
"Miami called my coach and told him they like me as a defensive back and someone who could return punts and kickoffs."
Although Gunnell is still without an official offer he has five schools that he is very interested in.
"I really like Virginia, Rutgers, Boston College, Michigan and Indiana in no particular order."
