If searching the state of New Jersey for a tight end, college recruiters might want to swing by Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell. That's where they'll find Sam Johnson.
Johnson is a 6-foot-4, 235-pounder with 4.8-second speed in the 40-yard dash. He wants to play in a specific conference if possible.
"I really like some of the schools in the Big East. I'm gonna take my time in making my decision and I might attend a few camps this summer."
Johnson favors Rutgers, Syracuse and Pitt right now with West Virginia and Maryland right behind. He has offers from all of them.
Last season Sam had 15 catches for 200 yards and two touch downs. As a defensive end, he made 70 tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles and had 10 tackles for loss.
