Jersey TE gets first offer

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic tight end Jim Dray plays his best in big games. In fact, in the state championship game last season against national power Don Bosco, Dray was a star.
In the 14-13 loss to Bosco and 2004 five-star prospect Brian Toal, Dray had an amazing first half. In addition to two interceptions and a sack from his linebacker position on defense, Dray had six catches for 134 yards and a score on offense.

"We came close," said the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder of the loss to Bosco. "We had them, we really did. They are a great team, but we played with them the whole game."
Dray's performance turned the heads of many college recruiters. He already has one offer and many schools seem close to joining in the race.
"Rutgers has offered me," he said. "I also like Boston College, Notre Dame, Virginia, Michigan, Virginia Tech and UConn and I'm hearing from all of them."
Dray, who finished his junior season with 30 catches for 456 yards and four scores on offense and 71 solo tackles and 13.5 sacks on defense, will camp at Boston College and perhaps a few other places.
"I'm looking for a school that offers good education, has a good reputation and where I could get a fair chance to play," he said. "I'm hoping more offers will come this summer, but right now the focus in on working out and getting ready for next season."
