Jersey TE claims a leader

With three offers in-hand, tight end David Stevens out of Millburn (N.J.) Millburn Senior claims that one of the schools is standing out. Who is leading for the 6-foot-4, 228-pounder?
"I've got offers from New Hampshire, Army and Purdue," he said. "Right now, I guess my No. 1 choice is Purdue. I got that offer about two weeks ago and I know a little about their football team and how they like to throw the ball around. I don't know a lot about their academics though."

While the Boilermakers are sticking out now, Stevens claims he is still open to everybody.
"I'm not totally set on a school," he said. "I know that I want to be at a big college with good academics and a solid team. I'd like to be in a passing offense too. Off the field, I want to study chemistry and be close to a city, although that's not a really big deal to me."
Plenty of other schools are taking an interest in the Jersey tight end too.
"I've been getting text messages and emails from Virginia, Cincinnati, Rutgers, UConn, Syracuse and Boston College," he said. "They are all telling me that they want to see more of me and want me to come to camps, so they can do their own evaluation."
With that in mind, Stevens plans to attend at least three camps.
"I'm going to Ohio State on the 10th, one day at Syracuse and one day at Boston College."
