Jersey QB turning heads early

New Jersey looks to have a very good group of quarterbacks ready to explode onto the 2005 recruiting scene and one such player is quarterback Drew Willy of Randolph, N.J.. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound gunslinger is already receiving big time interest from such programs.
"Well it's really to early to tell, but I guess Virginia, Boston College, Rutgers, Michigan, Nebraska and Maryland are schools that have been showing me a lot of interest and I like all of them."

For his career, Willy has thrown for 3,088 and 32 touchdowns. Last season he had 99 completions on 172 attempts with 16 touchdowns. He was named all-conference and all-county and he's also garnering D-I attention as a basketball player. However, it's playing football that's his first love.
Drew will attend the Rutgers junior day and hopes to attend the Nike combine as well. Schools love his character.
"My leadership and confidence on and off the field is what they seem to like," he said. "I like to have the ball in my hands when the game is on the line."
