Dual-threat quarterback Jabulani Lovelace has two schools at the top of his list.
Lovelace, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds out of Tenafly, N.J., said Syracuse and Vanderbilt are leading the way for his services with UConn now behind.
“Syracuse and Vanderbilt have shown interest in me from day one and they’ve been interested in me as a quarterback not an athlete or safety,” said the two-star prospect. “I like the coaches I’ve met from both places and I feel comfortable with them.”
Lovelace said he hasn’t set up official visits, but he is working on it sometime in December. The New Jersey prospect also has scholarship offers from Rutgers and Wisconsin.
“I want to decide sometime after our (high school) season,” Lovelace said.
That season will be continuing with 6-2 Tenafly in the Group 2 playoffs. Lovelace has 1,300 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in the air to go along with 900 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
He projects as a full qualifier and has a 3.76 GPA.
