Jersey OC picks up first offer

West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep offensive center Chris Zarkoskie has picked up his first scholarship. Who has the 6-foot-2, 270-pounder landed an offer from and what else is going on in his recruitment?
"Recruiting is going well," he said. "I have one offer from Towson and I'm really happy about it. It was like a little weight lifted off my shoulders."

Plenty of other colleges are taking notice of the Jersey lineman too.
"The Boston College camp helped me out a lot," he said. "I got to meet with a ton of the coaches there and it was great. Coach Bicknell seemed really excited about me, but said they were not going to offer now. They did however say I should be patient and things will come. I was told I'm on their board, but they are waiting to see what some of the national recruits do before they can offer.
"I've heard similar things from others schools including Northeastern, New Hampshire, Harvard, Maine, Princeton, Lehigh, Hofstra, William & Mary, James Madison and others."
In the near future, the two-star prospect plans to head to at least one more camp.
"Next weekend I'm going to attend Wake Forest's one day camp," he said. "I know they were really impressed with my film, but still want to see my pass blocking before an offer comes. I'm looking at attending a few other schools in August, but I'm not quite sure who they are yet."
