Position: Wide receiver
Size and speed: JJ is 5-foot-10, 170-pounds and runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash. He has a 3.0 GPA and will be taking the SAT soon.
Honors: All-shore, all-county, all-division and second team all-state.
Statistics: Last season Bedle had 53 catches for 1,051 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also returned a punt and kickoff for a score.
Favorite Schools: Early in the game, JJ likes Boston College, Michigan, NC State, Penn State, Rutgers and Syracuse.
Skinny: Explosive is the best way to describe Bedle. JJ popped on the scene with a great junior season on a team that throws the ball less then 10 times a game. He has very quick feet and has been known to make defenders look silly trying to tackle him.
Bedle will also be looked at for his special teams ability. He is one of the top players in New Jersey this year and will receive plenty of offers. Team goals are first for the star athlete.
“My senior season is very important to me. I want to win the states again and go out on top.”
Not only is Bedle a big-time football player, but he also plays basketball and is known around the Jersey Shore for his acrobatic Dunks. At 5-foot-10 he has a 42-inch vertical jump and has been seen with his elbows above the rim.
"I like to get up in both football and hoops," he said. "I think my leaping ability is what makes me tough to defend in both sports. If the ball is in the air, I'm going to get it."
Bedle isn't sure where he'll camp this summer.
