Jersey LB to visit Cincy, Michigan

Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit linebacker Dan Mastromatteo has received two offers but he is scheduled to visit two schools that have not yet offered in the weeks ahead.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect is poised to step into the big shoes left by Class of 2011 linebacker Anthony Sarao, and his early verbal offers from Rutgers and Tulane are proof that at least some coaches believe he has big-time college talent.

He's hoping a couple of visits in the near future will help his stock with other schools, while also giving him an opportunity to learn more about each program.
"I'm going to Cincinnati on March 5," Mastromatteo said. "I'm also going to a Michigan junior day around March 22."
Those are the only two trips that Mastromatteo has planned for the immediate future, though other things could arise and he is keeping an open mind.
"I think I'm going to make my decision before the summer," he went on to acknowledge.
If Mastromatteo is intent on making an early decision that could favor the Scarlet Knights. While he did not say that Rutgers is his favorite, he seems very flattered by their interest.
"As of right now Rutgers is showing the most interest," he said when asked which schools are sticking out.
