Jersey LB takes visits, names favorite

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep linebacker Nick Mistretta still doesn't have an offer. However, the 6-foot-2, 213-pounder has been to a few camps already this summer in hopes of changing that.
"Recruiting is going pretty good right now, although it's a little quiet," he said. "I went to Duke's camp about four weeks ago and it went pretty well. I talked to the coach from there and he said they were thinking about an offer. They'll keep in touch and hopefully something blossoms out of that.

"Two weeks ago I went to a team camp at Boston College. That was good too. There were some smaller schools there as well. I talked to coach McGovern from Boston College and they'll get back to me soon too."
Mistretta is considering more visits later this summer.
"Akron wants me to visit this summer and something could happen out of that," he said. "I'm looking at heading to Columbia in a couple weeks along with Princeton."
Do any schools lead for the Jersey prospect at this time?
"Right now Duke is probably my favorite," he said. "I love the coaches, campus and my cousin goes there and loves the school.
"If they offered, I'd definitely give a commitment some thought. They are personally my favorite and I would consider taking it."
