Jersey LB schedules two visits

Linebacker Dillon Lucas has been holding offers for several months now, but has turned his attention to a few other programs who might be close to pulling the trigger. He will be able to get a closer look at two of these programs in January, as he has recently scheduled official visits.
Lucas has held offers from Duke and Buffalo for months, and recently added two more from Villanova and Youngstown State. However, it's a trio of Big East programs that have caught his attention.

"Cincinnati is very close to offering, and so is Pitt and West Virginia," said Lucas, who is 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds.
The recently coaching change at Pitt obviously puts his situation with the Panthers in limbo.
"I'm just waiting to see what will happen with Pitt now," said Lucas. "It's getting really complicated because all of the coaches that I talk to at Pitt are not sure what the new coach will want to do with the rest of their scholarships. I get emails from them about twice a week and a phone call weekly."
Cincinnati has also picked up their interest level with Lucas recently.
"They said that I am their number one remaining linebacker right now and I will know about an offer within the next two weeks," said Lucas.
Next month, Lucas will likely have the opportunity to check out these two programs in person.
"I have an official visit at Pitt on January 14th, but I don't know if that will change, and Cincy the following week," said Lucas.
On the field this fall, everything did not go exactly as planned, but Lucas still turned in another impressive performance.
"I played with a torn labrum all year and just had surgery, but I am healing very quickly," said Lucas. "I played both offense and defense and ended doing well stat wise for both."
In six games, Lucas finished with 72 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
