School: Wykoff (N.J.) Don Bosco

Position: Linebacker
Size and speed: Toal is 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds.
Statistics: As a junior, Toal made 102 tackles and registered 12 ½ sacks. He also blocked two punts. On offense as a running back, he rushed for 1,275 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Favorite schools: Boston College, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Iowa, Syracuse, Rutgers.
Skinny: Toal could be the top player in the state of New Jersey with his size, speed and awareness. A sure tackler and a dominating defender, Toal will be recruited mainly as a linebacker, although he could be a fullback in some offenses.
“I have a few offers so far from schools like Boston College, Rutgers, Iowa, Syracuse, West Virginia, Virginia and Wisconsin,” said Toal. “I don’t really have any favorites because I need to see a bunch of schools before I can pick one or two I like the best. I went to junior day at BC and that was nice.”
Toal’s older brother, Greg, goes to Boston College and the Eagles have long been a defacto favorite. However, he insists that he won’t make a decision based on where his brother plays.
“That won’t be a factor,” he said. “I have to do what’s right for me and pick the best situation.”
Toal isn’t sure if he’ll camp anywhere this summer.
