Jersey junior making people notice

Junior wide receiver John Tsimis of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic had already been enjoying a successful season, but he turned it up another notch against Don Bosco Prep last weekend with 10 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Not surprisingly, college coaches are beginning to take notice of Tsimis' talents.
"The season is good," said Tsimis, who is 6-foot-0 and 175-pounds. "We've had two tough losses, but we've played real good. Personally I'm having a real good year so far."

Overall through four games, Tsimis has 24 receptions for 386 yards and five touchdowns this season.
"I have improved my blocking and I'm running more precise routes," said Tsimis.
During the summer Tsimis attended the Boston College summer camp with his team.
"It was pretty good," said Tsimis. "I was invited to the showcases and I caught all the passes and won all the one-on-one's. Each showcase was only about a half hour each so I did not get that many reps, but I felt I did good in the limited amount of reps."
Over the last month or two, Tsimis has noticed a noticeable increase of recruiting interest.
"I receive letters at school all the time," said Tsimis. "The letters are from UConn, Rutgers, Stanford and Wisconsin."
Tsimis has not taken any visits this fall and at this time has no specific plans to. He does, however, have a few ideas of what he will look for in a program.
"I'm looking for a competitive program, good academics and a good location," said Tsimis.
