Jersey DT close to offers
Camden, N.J. defensive tackle Shukree Barfield is one of the most physical players in the state of New Jersey. Colleges are starting to take notice.
A very big defensive tackle, Barfield has college recruiters looking long and hard at him. He is an excellent athlete for his size and has big-time upside potential.

“I have a lot of schools telling me that there going to offer and I’ve gotten a good amount of verbal offers," said the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder. "Schools are telling me that they plan on sending me written offers once they go back to their campuses.”
Right now, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Clemson, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Iowa are his favorite schools.
Barfield moves very well for a big man and dominates offensive lineman. He has the ability to play offensive line in college as well, which should help his cause when it comes to earning offers.
“I’d rather play defense in college, but I’ll play where a school needs me.”
Shukree will attend the Rutgers summer camp in late June.
