Jersey DE visits Rutgers, Maryland

Carteret, N.J. star defensive end Jason Adjepong recently took in visits to both Maryland and Rutgers junior days. So what did he think of the Terps and Scarlet Knights?
"I thought Rutgers was great," he said. "I like the whole coaching staff and my mom and I were really impressed with Coach Schiano and the facilities there were outstanding.

"I like Maryland too," he said. "The campus is nice and I like the fact that everything is within walking distance, so after a long day of practice you don't have to worry about catching a bus across campus. The coaching staff is real nice and its got a nice atmosphere."
Did the visits make him favor either of those schools at all?
"I don't know, all the schools are leading for me right now, I'm open," he said. "I'm just going to wait until May and go from there."
Besides visiting a couple schools, the 6-foot-3, 248-pounder has also received his first piece of mail from Southern Cal.
"I'm not interested in big names," he said. "I'm just looking for where I fit and who wants me most."
Adjepong still holds a lone offer from Rutgers.
This season Adjepong recorded 87 tackles, 22 for loss, 12 sacks and four fumble recoveries as he was named all-state, all-group, all-conference, all-area, all-county and all-division.
This summer Adjepong is considering making an appearance at Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers in May.
