Jersey DE has new favorite

After attending a recent summer camp, Plainfield, N.J. defensive end Dan Davis has a new leader.
"Virginia offered me out of camp and it was really great down there," said the 6-foot-3, 247-pounder. "I liked the campus and the coaches were really cool. I could see myself playing in that defense."

However, Davis is in no hurry to make his decision.
"I also have offers from Nebraska and Rutgers while Georgia and Maryland are also close to offering and are recruiting me very hard," he said. "I want to take all five of my official visits and those are the schools I'll look at I think."
As a junior, Davis recorded 96 solo tackles and 36 assists as a defensive tackle. He also had 12 sacks and an incredible 30 tackles for loss.
"I blow plays up," he laughed. "I love getting in the offensive backfield. All the schools recruiting me want me as a defensive end, but I could play inside as well."
