Jersey DE enjoys UConn

The first official visit went well for one of New Jersey’s top players. Defensive end Dan Davis of Plainfield, N.J. had a great visit to the University of Connecticut.
"I really enjoyed myself," said Davis. "The place is really nice and they take their football serious. The hospitality they showed me and my family was great. I was hosted by James Hargrave and he's from New Jersey, he loves it there."

Davis is a 6-foot-2, 245-pound strongside end, but could also be moved to linebacker.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a defensive end, but if I'm moved to linebacker that would be fine."
Dan visits Rutgers next weekend (Dec. 12) and Michigan State on (Jan.16.) Does he have a favorite?
"Not yet, but UConn was awesome. I need to visit a few other schools before I do anything, but I will certainly consider Connecticut right until the end."
Besides Connecticut, Rutgers and Michigan State, Davis is also considering Iowa and Virginia.
