Jersey DE claims first offer

Defensive end Bryce McClain has acquired his first offer of the year. The 6-foot-2, 213-pounder out of Phillipsburg, N.J. landed a scholarship from the MAC.
"I got an offer from Temple last month," he said. "I like it. I'm waiting and hoping a lot more come around."

Other colleges taking notice of the Garden State end include Rutgers, Pittsburgh, NC State, Michigan State and Clemson.
"They all say they like me, but want me to get my speed and weight up."
McClain plans to camp at a few schools this month.
"I'm going to Penn State in the middle of June and then I'm planning a three day camp at Rutgers," he said. "I may also go to Temple and Michigan State if I can. I have some family obligations."
Currently, the Scarlet Knights have the early edge for the Jersey end.
"I'm favoring Rutgers," he said. "I like their program, academics and they have my major, business management. It's also close by; being close to home is pretty big.
"My uncle used to work with the Rutgers staff and I've heard depending on how I do at their camp I should get an offer. If that happens I would commit."
McClain registered 50 tackles and seven sacks as a junior on his way to second team all-conference and second team all-West Jersey.
