Jersey DB acquires first offer

Safety Ausar Walcott claims to have picked up his first offer. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder out of Hackensack, N.J. picked up the scholarship from the Big Ten.
"I got a verbal offer right now from Wisconsin," he said. "I don't know too much about them. I know they won their bowl and were ranked pretty high in the country last year, but that's about it."

A lot of other colleges are taking notice of the Garden State defensive back.
"I'm getting interest from Virginia, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Maryland and Boston College," he said. "I'd say Maryland, Boston College and Virginia are primarily the schools standing out. I just like that they are all provide a good education and are solid programs. They are regularly staying in touch too."
This spring Walcott plans to attend the Nike Camp at Penn State.
Last season the Jersey safety pulled in three touchdowns on offense and three interceptions on defense on his way to all-county honors.
Walcott is also an accomplished track star that earned all-league and all-county honors.
