Jersey back looking at Midwest schools

After impressive freshman and sophomore seasons at Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit, running back Nigel Jones had to deal with an injury that slowed him down in 2010. Now healthy again, Jones is eager to prove to everyone that he is still a player with game-breaking abilities.
"Recruiting is good," said Jones. "I'm hearing from a few schools. Hopefully in the summer I can go to some college camps and show them that I'm good enough to offer a scholarship."

Jones, 5-foot-9 and 198 pounds, has yet to take any visits, but mentioned that Cincinnati and Western Michigan are currently showing the most interest. When he gets the chance, he is hoping for a Midwest trip where he will visit Cincinnati, Michigan State and Michigan.
During these visits, Jones will be looking for a few specific things.
"Definitely a good education and coaches that want to win and work their hardest to win," said Jones. "Also a coaching staff that will help me get ready for the next part of my life, if it's in the pro's or just a normal life."
After seeing the bulk of the carries during his first two years, Jones had to adjust during his junior season.
"I played the first game and then I missed six games with an injury, so I only played in six games and split carries," said Jones, who split carries with Donta Pollack. "I finished with 824 yards and seven touchdowns on around 90 carries. I stopped paying attention to stats though. All I cared about was states."
