For months linebacker/fullback Michael Green has been regarded as one of the top prospects in the Garden State and he has the offers to prove it. Has he narrowed his list?
"My five favorites are Maryland, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Virginia and Miami," said Green. "They're all about even."
At 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds the Westville (N.J.) Deptford star runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Temple and Virginia Tech. What does he like about his leaders?
"They all have great coaching staffs," he said. "And they're all going to be very good teams in the future. I want to go to a program that will be a contender for the national title every season and a place where I can play early and make an impact."
Green would like to make a decision sometime after his senior season. He had 120 carries and 800 yards with six touchdowns on offense, and 95 tackles, four sacks and 12 tackles for loss on defense.
