Ole Miss continued to strengthen a top 10 recruiting class on Thursday as three-star offensive lineman Jeremy James announced his commitment to the Rebels.

“Since the first time I was at Ole Miss, I have had a good feeling about them,” James said. “I loved it there. I also loved the coaches and I just feel good about being there.”

James, a 2019 product from North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga., had visited Ole Miss twice before making his commitment. Originally he planned on committing during his senior football season, but he decided two weeks ago he had settled on Ole Miss.

“I called Coach (Matt) Luke last night and I think I caught him off guard,” James said. “He was excited when I gave him the news.”

James chose Ole Miss over NC State, Memphis and Nebraska.

The commitment is the 21st for the Rebels for 2019 and the seventh on the offensive line. Three of the offensive line commits are from the state of Georgia.

James said he is shutting his recruitment down moving forward. He will take an official visit to Ole Miss and that will be it.

“My commitment is strong,” he said. “Ole Miss is where I want to be.”
