Jennert talks about his decision
Florida Atlantic picked up a big verbal commitment, literally, from wide receiver Donnie Jennert. Jennert, 6-7 and 200 pounds, is from Saint Cloud (Fla.) High School.
"Oh yeah, I committed on Sunday," Jennert said. "I went on my visit this past weekend and based my decision on campus. Can I live there for the next four or five years? Absolutely. I went there and had a good time. I met the players and felt real comfortable. I love the coaches.

"They offered me about a month ago. I told coach Turner on Saturday night I was coming but he told me to speak with coach (Howard) Schnellberger first. So I told him on Sunday."
Jennert had a good senior season, catching 52 passes for 681 yards and 10 scores.
