Jenkins piecing together official visits

The highest ranking Rivals100 prospect at the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando, Fla. this week is No. 3 ranked linebacker Jelani Jenkins.
The five-star from Olney (Md.) Our Lady Of Good Counsel took a moment after Wednesday's opening practice to talk about his recruitment.

"I am still trying to figure my five official visits," Jenkins said. "I have already taken one and I have another one scheduled. I took one to Florida and I have a Penn State one set up but we are still talking to the coaches and trying to set up another three or two."
In addition to his two officials, Jenkins said some of the other schools he is considering include USC, Illinois, Boston College, and Notre Dame.
"Right now we are just waiting until the bowl games are over and seeing how teams do in that," Jenkins said. "We are just talking to the coaches and trying to find where we feel comfortable."
As for his official visit to Gainesville, the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder came away impressed with Urban Meyer's program.
"It was a great visit," Jenkins said. "We got to meet all of the coaches and all of that. We got to see the stadium. We got to see them practicing for the bowl game, for the championship game, so it was real fun. They gave us a good show and all of that. It was cool."
With numerous officials still on the docket, Jenkins talked a bit about what he is looking for in the school he will sign with in early February.
"I am looking for a place where I am comfortable," Jenkins said. "A big theme that I have seen over the last few months or so was coaching stability. A lot of coaches are leaving or a coach that is recruiting me may not be there, so we are trying to make sure the coach will be there all four or three years. Also, good academics and a chance to play in the NFL, a chance to play early, all of those things."
Jenkins is a member of the Black Team that will face the White Team in Sunday evening's UA All-American Game.
