Jeffries plans two camp visits

Even though he was one of the top quarterbacks at the EA Sports Elite 11 Quarterback Camp in Berkeley, Calif., recently, Chad Jeffries still doesn't have any offers but he hopes that will change in the next few weeks.
Jeffries, a 6-foot-1, 179-pound prospect, plans to camp at Oregon State and Utah soon and he's hearing promising things from both programs.

"I'm going to the Oregon State camp on the 19th and they said that it's very promising if I come up there that something would happen," Jeffries said.
"That could be big because coach (Mike) Riley is a great coach and I think the school is awesome, it's an awesome program in the Pac-10. They have an amazing non-league schedule, too."
The Utes could also be close to offering. Jeffries said an assistant coach stopped by his high school this spring and after seeing him throw his recruitment has picked up.
The coach said he wanted Jeffries to come out to Utah this summer to meet with coach Kyle Whittingham and an offer might be on the way.
"I'm going to go to the Utah camp, too," Jeffries said.
"The coach from Utah loved me. He said that he wanted to offer me right on the spot at my school because I passed for him a little bit but he said he wants the head coach to see me a little bit and kind of get to know me and then he said they'll go from there. I'm hearing a lot of good things about Utah."
Boise State was the favorite for Jeffries, and the Glendora, Calif., quarterback even said at the Elite 11 that he wanted to play for the Broncos, but they have faded away after receiving a commitment from Rocklin, Calif., quarterback Jimmy Laughrea.
Jeffries said he was disappointed to hear that Boise State took another quarterback but he understands that's part of the game and now he's looking forward to his potential opportunities with Oregon State and Utah.
There is also a possibility Jeffries will camp at Washington this summer. The Huskies have increased their interest recently as well.
"I think that's pretty much over with (Boise State)," Jeffries said. "They have that guy from up north already, he verbally committed to them already. It seems kind of done with that one. I liked them a lot. I really wanted to go there but they moved on without me."
