Jefferson close to Pac-12 offers

Noah Jefferson is a massive prospect at 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds so it was especially impressive to see him playing tight end at the Passing Down Best of the West 7on7 this past weekend.
San Diego State recently offered and it caught Jefferson completely by surprise because he had not been talking at all to the Aztecs staff.

It was Jefferson's first offer so he said it took a lot of pressure off.
"The coach came to the school," Jefferson said. "I never talked to San Diego State but they were sending me some letters. He said they wanted to offer me and I was excited to get my first offer. I could breathe and it was really good to get that first offer."
The Las Vegas (Nev.) Liberty three-star defensive end took an unofficial visit to USC two weekends ago for the spring game and he said all future trips will be compared to that one.
"Now every unofficial I take I'm kind of comparing it to USC to see how it is," Jefferson said.
"I like the new coaching staff. They make it more fun. They make the game fun and going out to see the team play in the spring game it was really nice watching them."
Arizona State could be close to offering Jefferson, who looked good at numerous Rivals camps in the last couple years.
The Sun Devils have talked a lot with Jefferson and an offer from them would be big according to the Las Vegas standout.
"I think ASU is going to offer me in the next couple weeks," Jefferson said.
"They've kind of hinted at it. They just need to talk to my coach and my counselor and make sure my grades are going through and I'm doing good in school on and off the field."
Arizona and Washington are also showing a tremendous amount of interest in the three-star defensive end. Florida State, Alabama and Boise State have also reached out. More offers could be close.
"Everybody wants to make sure I qualify and make sure I'm good with the (NCAA) Clearinghouse," Jefferson said.
"At my last high school I couldn't get any help academically but coming to Liberty it's a four-star school in the state of Nevada so it helps with my academics."
