JC star thinking Big Ten

Dean (Mass.) Junior College running back Dennis Void, after a fine season on the West Coast, wants to be closer to home.
The 6-foot-0 and 215 pound Void, who is originally from Bronx (N.Y.) Mount St. Michael Academy, played for Hayward (Calif.) Chabot Junior College last season. Void rushed for close to 800 yards on just 92 carries, averaging 8.7 yards per attempt. He scored 10 times.

"He wants to be closer to home," Chabot coach Danny Calcagno said. "He'll play for Dean Junior College in Massachusetts this season.
"He has offers on the table from Lafayette-Monroe, Wyoming, and San Diego State.
"And he's interested in Florida, Auburn, North Carolina State, Alabama, and Purdue. And he has a strong interest in Iowa. His cousin is Jerod Void who plays running back for Purdue."
