Garden City (Kan.) Community College running back Tyson Thompson was one of the nation's top rated running backs out of high school.

"I am just hoping to show what I can do on the field," the 6-foot-1, 201-pound Thompson said. "I'm getting in the flow of things again."
No matter how good Thompson gets on the field, he'll have a talented backfield mate to share carries with in KayJay Harris.
"KayJay has already committed to West Virginia," Thompson said. "He's a banger and a straight ahead runner. I'm more of a speed back. We fit well together in our offense at Garden City."
Thompson, who signed with TCU out of high school and has since ended up at Garden City is hoping to land himself at a big-time running school.
"I like the way they run the ball at several schools. The ones recruiting me that have the history of running the ball are Nebraska, LSU, Kansas State, Oklahoma, LSU and Michigan State."
Thompson did still have a spot on his list for his first school, TCU.
"TCU still has the same running backs coach they did when I went there out of high school. I really got along with him. He's now the offensive coordinator. So I know he could find a way to use me in the offense."
Thompson said each of the schools he has listed have offered him scholarships.
"I have my choice of all of them. I just need to visit some of them and then pick. I've got offers from them all."
