Jayhawks land in-state pledge

The Kansas Jayhawks don't have a head coach, but that hasn't stopped them from adding their second pledge for the Class of 2002.
Derby, Kan., quarterback Nick Reid announced just moments ago that he has committed to Kansas last night.

Rivals100.com received an e-mail from Penny Reid, Nick's mother, confirming the pledge.
"Although he was recruited by several Big 12 schools and many schools outside the Big 12, Nick feels like he can be an immediate impact player for KU," his mother said.
"Irregardless of who the new head coach is, KU's academic tradition, the atmosphere of the city of Lawrence and the honest way that coach Sam Pittman and former head coach Terry Allen recruited him, made a very positive impression."
