Jayhawks beat rival for four-star DE

After beating Kansas State on the field this season, Kansas has beaten the Wildcats again head to head for one of the top recruits left on both team's board. This time victory is for a four-star defensive end from one of Kansas' top junior college programs.
"I'm going to sign at Kansas," four-star strongside defensive end Rodney Allen of Garden City (Kan.) Community College said just moments ago.

"I loved it up there. It was straight. It was the perfect fit. I'm going to be signing with them on February 2."
So why the Jayhawks?
"Everybody is so positive," Allen said. "The staff is really nice. I can't explain it, but it's a good fit for me. I also really like coach (Clint) Bowen. He's a really good man. I trust him everything. I could trust him with my life."
Allen said he's expected to talk to Kansas State, the school he was leaning toward heading into this weekend, some time this evening.
"I'm just going to tell them I'm going to Kansas," Allen said. "I'm sure they're going to want to talk to me about it for a long time, but I'm planning on signing with Kansas, and that's it."
