Jax ATH staying patient
Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast athlete Dwight Patterson has been waiting patiently throughout the recruiting process and it appears that he is not in a hurry to end it anytime soon.
"I have offers from Navy, Wofford and Army," Patterson said. "Central Florida has not offered, but they have been wanting me to take an official visit and I am going this weekend. I will probably make a post signing day decision."
The 6-foot-0, 180-pound Patterson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds, has a 280-pound bench press and 425-pound squat.
"I am still pretty much open to everyone at this point," Patterson said. "All of the schools that have offered and Central Florida have all come by and visited with me at my school recently. This weekend will be my first official visit."
Patterson plays quarterback and safety for his high school team. On offense he threw for 600 yards and seven touchdowns, while on defense he accumulated 50 tackles and had two pass break-ups as a junior.
As a senior Patterson threw for over 1,000 yards on offense and had 70 tackles and six pass break-ups on defense.
