Jarrells close to his first offer

Oviedo (Fla.) Hegarty wide receiver Treyous Jarrells is still waiting for his first offer. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound offensive weapon has been given an indication from one school that the offer is likely to come during May.
"I talked to Coach Price from Memphis yesterday," Jarrells said. "He told me he is coming to see me in the spring. He told me through an e-mail that they want to see me before they offer me. So that is why he is coming down. He said he is going to recruit me hard and that I just need to keep working."

Memphis isn't the only school in the picture. Coaches from Albany, Florida International, and Princeton have also recently indicated that they plan to visit during the spring to check on Jarrells.
As for Jarrells, he recently visited Central Florida for their spring game. At this time, the Knights aren't showing much interest in him.
"They didn't say that much to me," Jarrells said. "I thought they looked real good on the field. They impressed me."
As his recruitment progresses, Jarrells is just looking for an opportunity that provides a good balance with regards to academics and athletics.
"I am going to look a lot at academics, academics is my number one thing," Jarrells said. "I also will look at the football program obviously."
As a junior, he had 33 receptions for 414 yards and six touchdowns.
At the conclusion of his junior year at Hagerty, Jarrells plans to transfer and play his final season at Lake Mary High School.
