K.J. Jarrell burst onto the recruiting scene this past spring evaluation period, landing several offers and wooing coaches that dropped by Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro to check on a loaded roster.
Jarrell, a Rivals250 safety in the 2017 class, holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington and Wisconsin heading into his junior season. Louisville and USC are two others showing interest.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The four-star prospect intends to visit Arizona, Arizona State and UCLA during the season. Saguaro kicks off the season Aug. 27 against Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial.
IN HIS WORDS: "I really like the UCLA coaches," Jarrell told Rivals.com. "I haven't been out there yet or seen the campus, but I like what I've heard from the coaches. I was also at U of A for their junior day and liked it there, too. I got to see the campus and talk to the coaches, and it's a school in state so it's not too far from home. I could still get the college experience without being far. Right now I'm very open with all the offers."
RIVALS' REACTION: Jarrell should also get plenty of looks at wide receiver this fall and could garner additional interest for that side of the ball. The Sun Devils have made a run at a number of Saguaro prospects in recent years and it appears they might prioritize the 6-foot-3, 175-pound defensive back, too. Jarrell has indicated he would like to go wherever teammate Byron Murphy, a Rivals100 cornerback, signs, so that's another situation to monitor.
