Jaquavius Lane's taking his speed to Kansas State

THE LATEST: Jaquavius Lane exploded earlier this year reeling in offer after offer, but after evaluating his offer list and taking numerous visits the last few months, he has decided on a school.

The 5-foot-11, 172 pound playmaker out of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson feels Kansas State is the right school for him.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I have committed to Kansas State and I chose them because I feel like the school and football program gives me the best chance of reaching the NFL, my ultimate goal in life," said Lane.

"I decided about two weeks ago that I wanted to be a Wildcat. My mind was kind of already made up, but it was about two weeks ago was when that feeling of being a Wildcat really started burning deep. I chose them over UCF.

"It was really a tough decision down the line, but coach [Bill] Snyder has a great resume and I wouldn't want to play for any other coach. I've spoken with coach [Andre] Coleman and a couple other coaches about my commitment and they are really excited for me to join the program."

RIVALS REACTION: Lane is wide receiver with speed who is always looking to compete. He is shifty, he is quick and he is great in open space. He is likely to play the slot position for the Widcats and he could get a long look as a punt returner as well. He is on the smaller side when talking receivers in today's game, but that is what makes him dangerous. He plays against great competition daily at Grayson and he will come out very prepared to compete on the next level.
