Jamison talks about his UM verbal

Thornton Township four star ranked defensive end prospect Tim Jamison has ended his recruiting tonight, and the 2003 Illinois Defensive Player of the Year in Illinois according to EDGYTIM.com talks about making his final decision. Jamison had been sought after this winter from coast to coast, and now he will call Ann Arbor home starting next fall.
"I decided on Wednesday night that Michigan is where I wanted to go" said Tim Jamison. "In the end, I just felt the most comfortable with the coaches as well as with the players at Michigan. My official visit definitely was a factor in making my decision. My family and I really enjoyed the whole experience in Ann Arbor, and after I sat and thought about where I wanted to be for the next four years, I could see myself being the most comfortable at the University of Michigan. Michigan has such great tradition and they are a winning program, and I definitely wanted to be a part of that."

So how hard was it for Jamison to make his final choice? "It was real hard, harder than I thought it would be. I had narrowed things down to Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin, and all three schools had alot to offer and all three schools recruited me really well. Telling those schools no was no doubt a really hard thing for me to do."
Now that he has made his decision, how difficult was the recruiting process on Jamison and his family? "At first it was fun, and I kind of enjoyed it. Then after the All American Bowl, things just got out of hand. The phone would never stop ringing, and people and coaches would just never stop calling my house. After awhile, my Dad just had to take over the phone calls because if I answered every call, I would never get any school work done. It got to be really tough in the end."
"I guess that I would tell other recruits that they should just have fun with the whole process and enjoy it, and that's how I tried to handle it."
Thornton head coach Bill Mosel, when asked about the type of player that the Wolverines have landed in Jamison, said that "Tim, for as great of a season he had this year, I really feel that his best football is still ahead of him."
