James upset by cancelled PSU official

Three-star running back Brandon James out of St. Augustine, Fla. was planning to take an official visit this weekend to State College for the Penn State-Ohio State matchup. Earlier this week, the Lions coaches cancelled the official visits to help their players focus on the game. We caught up with James to see his reaction to the cancellation.
"I'm pretty upset about it because I was looking forward to the visit and it should be a good atmosphere there," he said. "For them to call a couple days away from the visit is kind of bad. I think it did actually hurt them with me. They are not looking towards the future instead they are looking at right now and if recruiting is not a big deal, then I don't know what is."

James isn't sure if he'll make it back to Penn State for an official in the future.
"I don't know if I'll take that visit, but if I do it'll probably be after the season," he said. "I also had a visit scheduled with South Carolina that we cancelled, I know I'll be taking that after the season in early January. Right now everything is wide open for me. I'm still looking at South Carolina, Louisville and Penn State."
There are two other schools the No. 9 all-purpose back in the country is still interested in as well.
"I'm very interested in Auburn and Tennessee, but I'm not sure if they've offered and how interested they are in me."
This season James has helped St. Augustine to a 6-0 record.
"I have 730 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns total," he said. "I'm pretty happy with how I've done and I'm seeing all the hard work from the offseason paying off. Everything is just coming a lot easier for me."
