James updates his offers

Four-star wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass has grabbed the bulk of attention at Springfield (Ohio) High in the 2014 class, but his linebacker teammate, Davonte James, is drawing significant college interest of his own, and recently picked up an ACC offer.
"Georgia Tech offered me two weeks ago," James said. "I have talked to them before, and Coach [David] Wolkasky said three or four games in the season to send him film. I sent it to him but didn't hear anything until after the season. He finally messaged me, then came to the school and offered me and Thaddeus.

"I don't know much about them. I haven't been down there, but what they were telling me about the school, I could see myself there, definitely."
Prior to Georgia Tech, James had picked up offers from two schools that underwent coaching changes in the last couple months. One was the in-state Cincinnati Bearcats.
"The old staff did offer me," James said. "One of the [new] coaches just contacted me and he said the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator just watched my film yesterday. They said they were really excited and really wanted to talk to me."
The other school that had offered before they went through a coaching change was Purdue, and James has had that offer reaffirmed
"Coach [Kevin] Maurice came to the school and told me and Thaddeus that our offer still stands," James said.
Now that the class of 2013 is signed, James expects the interest from colleges will increase in the coming weeks. He is also looking to start making visits to campuses.
"I don't know about junior days, but I have talked to a few coaches about coming to spring practices," James said. "West Virginia said they definitely want to get me down there and emailed me their schedule for practices."
