James returns from Houston visit

Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau running back LaMichael James took an unofficial visit this past weekend to check out one in-state school who sent him one of three early scholarship offers.
James, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound speedster, says that his trip to Houston this weekend went well. However, the Cougars and others are still behind one Big 12 school for his commitment.

"I liked the environment and the city and all," James said about his trip to Houston. "I like the campus. I'm going to have to visit it again at some point."
Oklahoma State was the one-time leader for James. It appears the Cowboys still hold an edge for James. He'll take an unofficial visit to Oklahoma State on April 14.
"It's just everything about OSU is great," James said. "They call me all the time, send me letters all the time. I get 15 letters a day each week from them. I have a good relationship with all of the coaches. They're always text messaging me and asking me how I'm doing.
"It's a small town with a big school image. You don't have to worry about traffic. It's calm and laid back. If I like it, then I'm going to commit to Oklahoma State."
James says he continues to hear that Arkansas could be offering next and also just recently started receiving mail from Louisiana Tech.
