James ready for trips

It was a pretty nice feeling for Celina, Texas tight end Adam James when he was nominated for this year's U.S. Army All-American Game, and the 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect returned home with a few offers and plenty to think about.
James wants to keep everything quiet for now.

"I'm trying to set up my visits right now and I'll see how that goes, then take it from there," James said. "I've got some offers, but we're trying to keep that on the down low right now."
"As for trips, I'm thinking of heading to Texas Tech, Texas, Boston College, Ole Miss, Nevada, and maybe one other school."
James has been a bit of a sleeper, but playing multiple sports in high school shifted his body size dramatically and also left him with little time for recruiting. Apparently, the new interest is finding him.
"I can't say there is a favorite right now until I take some of these trips," he said. "Then I can make a decision. I'll obviously have something before Signing Day."
The experience at the Army game was one he'll never forget.
"It was good," he said. "It's an incredible feeling going down there, meeting new people, and it was the first time I really got to test myself and see how I compare to other really good players."
"I surprised myself."
