FRISCO, Texas – Rivals.com recruiting analyst Barry Every breaks down some of the Division I-A talent from last week's Sherman (Texas) High-Frisco (Texas) Centennial game.
Sherman dominated on the ground from start to finish, racking up 321 yards rushing to just 39 yards by Centennial to claim a key league victory, 38-14. The Bearcats were led by TCU commit Waymon James who finished with 206 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.

A closer look at some key players, listed alphabetically:
Sherman vs. Centennial Standouts
OG Josh Higgins, 6-4/304, Sherman
ASSETS: Has good size, long arms and is an aggressive run-blocker.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to work on lateral movement and reshaping his body just a bit.
MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY: Had several knockdowns when he was blocking on running plays.
CONCLUSION: Currently getting looks from UNLV and Louisiana-Monroe. Has enough size to compete at the next level. He should end up signing a DI scholarship as a big offensive guard.
RB Waymon James, 5-8/199, Sherman
ASSETS: Powerful lower body structure, exceptional change of direction and a low center of gravity that makes him impossible to knock over.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Can work on adding muscle to upper body.
MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY: On his first touchdown run up the middle he bounced off defenders like a pinball and trotted into the end zone like a walk in the park.
CONCLUSION: Tremendous pickup for the Horned Frogs. This is an every-down back that will remind some of a cross between Barry Sanders and Joe Morris. Look for him to be an impact freshman next season.
C Aaron Moore, 6-5/255, Centennial
ASSETS: Has an excellent frame and is a well conditioned athlete.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to add about 30-40 pounds, right now he lacks some punch do to the fact that he is a little light.
MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY: Only player for either team to start and play every snap both ways in the first half.
CONCLUSION: Should make a very athletic center for the Auburn Tigers. Most likely will redshirt in order to gain size and muscle mass, but the framework is all there.
QB Ryan Mossakowski, 6-4/201, Centennial
ASSETS: Has excellent height and good footwork.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: He needs to work on his accuracy on short passes, and do a better job of working through his progressions on pass plays.
MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY: He did a nice job avoiding the rush by rolling out and buying more time with his feet.
CONCLUSION: I am sure Randy Sanders, the UK quarterback coach, will bring out all Mossakowski's untapped potential. It will be interesting to see which 2009 signee – Morgan Newton or Mossakowski - will end up getting the most snaps in college.
RB Zach Whitfield, 5-9/170, Sherman (2011 class)
ASSETS: Has very good speed and excellent ball skills.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to get stronger and become a more physical tackler if he wants to play defense at the next level.
MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAY: The last play of the first half was his 100-yard interception return for a touchdown. He made a few moves to get to the sideline and shot down the sideline like a rocket for six.
CONCLUSION: Only touched the ball a couple times, but you could see that he has legit DI speed. Only a sophomore, he is set to take over for James at running back next season.
