James Johnson a ‘Jacket

Ocoee (Fla.) West Orange wide receiver James Johnson decided the end the recruiting process this week and decided he wanted to attend Georgia Tech. The academic aspect of the school was a major deciding factor.
“I am just thrilled,” commented his mother, Marylotti Glen. “It was my choice out of all of the schools he had offers from.

“The academics are very good there and he is going to major in engineering. It is the best school for that in the Southeast.”
Johnson had visited Atlanta over the weekend and that helped him seal the deal. He had also visited UConn and had a visit scheduled for South Carolina, but will likely miss that trip. He also had an offer from Central Florida.
Johnson stands 5-foot-11, weighs 180 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He projects as a full qualifier with a 3.5 GPA.
