James has high praise after UCLA trip

Andre James was back at UCLA earlier this week and he's been to the Westwood campus so many times the coaches are finished giving him the hard recruiting sell.
At this point, James said it's more about just spending time around the players and coaches and getting a better feel for the program.

There's absolutely no question UCLA looks to be in good shape with the Herriman, Utah, four-star offensive tackle but others - like USC, Ohio State and Oklahoma - are pushing as well.
"I love this place," James said of UCLA. "Out of all the schools I've been to I think I've been here the most. I love everything about it, the atmosphere, the weather, so it's just great.
"I don't know about (calling them a favorite) but they're definitely toward the top of my list."
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect who's rated as the third-best recruit in the Utah state rankings by Rivals.com was spotted at the UCLA lineman camp this past weekend and he spent time with a lot of the coaches.
James said he's really comfortable with the entire UCLA staff and that could be a major consideration as he gets closer to a decision.
"We're just talking," James said. "They told me everything they had to say about recruiting so now it's all personal. I've pretty much learned everything. I've been going through this for a while now, so I pretty much know everything. I'm just seeing everything.
"As soon as I can get all my visits down I should be good. As soon as I could get all those down, I should be ready to commit."
The four-star prospect said he wants to take official visits to USC, UCLA, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Oregon and Utah are still included in his top six.
James said he wants to possibly get to USC for its opener against Fresno State and then Oklahoma in mid-September for the Tennessee game. Dates for Ohio State and UCLA are also being worked on. Nothing is finalized yet.
Prior to visiting UCLA, James took a trip to USC and while the Trojans are still very much involved in his recruitment, the four-star admitted the Trojans do have some room to make up.
"Just seeing all the coaches was just great," James said of USC. "I haven't been there as many times as (UCLA) but I got to see quite a bit of stuff."
