Jamar Jackson ready for visits

The recruiting season is just getting started for Hampton (Va.) Bethel’s Jamar Jackson.
The 5-foot-8, 163-pound cornerback claims offers from Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech and is expecting one from James Madison in the coming week. He is also seeing a lot of interest from Marshall, East Carolina and Michigan State, many of whom have come and visited the cornerback at Bethel.

Jackson plans on taking all five visits, three of which will go to Virginia Tech, Maryland and Virginia in December, although he isn’t favoring any school specifically.
This season Jackson has helped Bethel to an 8-2 record as he has posted six interceptions, two for touchdowns and 45 tackles.
“This year we worked hard in the offseason, but we just couldn’t capitalize against Hampton and Phoebus, I think overall we had a good year,” he said, “I think I played pretty well for my senior season, right before I go off to college.”
So what is the cornerback looking for out of a school?
“A school that makes you feel at home, a family environment and a good education.”
Jackson mentioned that a decision will probably come on Signing Day.
