Jamal Merrell recaps trip to Pitt

Since they first started fielding calls from recruiting analysts and college coaches, Jamal Merrell and his twin brother Jamil have made it clear that they will attend school together for the next four years.
That plan has not changed and the two have been inseparable throughout the recruiting process, whether they were playing for Newark (Dela.) Hodgson Vo-Tech or visiting schools.

The two took a trip to Pitt over the weekend and Jamal spoke for both of them in a phone interview on Sunday.
"Yes, we made the trip and it was good," he said. "We ate with the team and saw the academic centers and stuff. The academics are what really stood out for us."
The twins took an official visit to Rutgers last week. How do Rutgers and Pitt stack up against one another, having seen both of them?
"I'd say they're pretty good in their own ways but they're different. It's tough to say how, but they're just different. I'd say they're even right now."
Merrell said he and his brother will be taking an official visit to West Virginia soon but could not provide a set date. He also said they will be setting up an official visit to Iowa.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound outside linebacker is ranked the No. 3 prospect in Delaware.
