Jacobs sitting at three offers

Seth Jacobs has already picked up three offers but doesn't want to name any favorites until he takes some visits over the next couple months.
With Arizona State, Oregon State and SMU on the board, the Arroyo Grande, Calif., outside linebacker is happy where his recruitment stands with the potential to get even better.

Oregon State was his first offer about a month ago and he said the coaching staff in Corvallis has impressed him so far. Getting up for a spring practice seems like a priority.
"I really like Oregon State," Jacobs said. "Coach (Mark) Banker is a nice guy to talk to and we talked for a while about the program and their defense and how they run everything.
"It sounds like a really nice program. I've been up to Oregon, I haven't been to Corvallis but I really like the state of Oregon. It's a really nice area and has a nice feel to it. I would not mind at all going to Oregon State."
Arizona State has a special connection with Jacobs because his father played for Craig Bray at Idaho and now Trent Bray is recruiting him for the Sun Devils. That could be something to look at throughout his recruitment.
"I actually like ASU as well," said Jacobs, who just picked up his SMU offer in the last few days. "Their coaching staff is nice and I really like talking to them.
"The coach recruiting me is Trent Bray. My dad played at Idaho and his dad coached my dad so there is a connection there and they talked on the phone. It will be nice to see them when I go to ASU to visit the school. I like the fact that they have some great linebackers there and they're coached well and if I ever made that transition from safety to linebacker it wouldn't be a problem."
There's a chance more offers could be coming soon for Jacobs, who could play safety or outside linebacker. He said Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Michigan and UCLA are all showing interest.
