Jacobs busy taking trips

It will be a busy couple weekends for Seth Jacobs but the four-star outside linebacker from Arroyo Grande, Calif., is fine with it because he's in no rush to make a decision.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect visited Arizona State last weekend and loved the trip and will be at Arkansas this weekend for its game against South Carolina. Jacobs' trip to Tempe went really well especially since he got a chance to talk with some players.

"I got a tour of the campus and that was good," Jacobs said. "I've been there previously so I've been around campus but it was good to get another visit in and it was an official so that was nice. I got to talk to the academic people and we got to see the game and they controlled the game for the most part.
"I also got the perspective of being a player because I talked to them about the school and everything so it went really well. They were good guys. I really liked them. They were good people."
The visit to Arkansas this weekend is big for Jacobs, rated No. 23 at outside linebacker in the 2012 class and No. 38 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com. The Razorbacks are definitely under serious consideration and the trip to Fayetteville could play a big role in his decision-making process.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Jacobs said. "It's going to be a pretty big weekend. I'm excited for it. It's going to be homecoming and it's going to be a big SEC game. It should be really good to see the atmosphere.
"I'm just looking forward to the weekend and enjoying it. I'll get to see what I missed over the summer when I went there and that's basically the students and the people there so that's one of the things I'll be looking for when I get there."
No other official visits are scheduled but Jacobs said he's strongly considering trips to Oregon and Northwestern. A fifth trip could also happen but nothing is planned. Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Oregon State, SMU, UCLA, Washington and Washington State have also offered.
As for his commitment, Jacobs doesn't plan to make his decision until National Signing Day. Not feeling rushed at all, the four-star is taking his time and doesn't want to rush his pledge.
"I'm still waiting until later," Jacobs said. "I plan to announce on signing day. I'm in no rush. I don't have to make any decisions until then and I don't feel the need to commit anywhere if I don't have to. That's my timetable and I'm willing to take my time."
