Jacksonville LB names a leader

Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast linebacker Andrew Wynn may be little undersized in some eyes for a college linebacker, but he makes up for it in other facets of the game.
“So far the only call I have gotten is East Carolina, but they get one call a week so I am sure I will hear from some more schools,” Wynn said. “East Carolina wants me to come up and take an official visit, sometime probably in January.”

The 6-foot-0, 220-pound Wynn runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, has a 345-pound bench press and a 415-pound squat.
“Right now I would say that my top five are South Florida, Southern Miss, East Carolina, Clemson and Georgia Tech,” Wynn said. “Out of those five South Florida and East Carolina have offered. I would have to say that Southern Miss is probably my leader right now.
I really don’t know all that much about Southern Miss, but I read all the mail that I get and I have really liked what I have read about them so far. I read that they graduate 80-percent of their players and about how they have been upgrading their facilities and stuff.”
In his junior campaign, Wynn registered 101 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions. He also played fullback, but was used mostly in blocking situations.
“I will have a top three at the end of the season,” Wynn said. “Right now I am just trying to focus on the season. I am going to take all of my official visits after the season is over and decide. Not many people get to go through this process and I feel blessed that I have so I want to make the most of it.”
